Billing Questions

Who should I contact about my account?

You may call the office where you are being treated and they will direct you to the right person.

If you have any questions regarding your account after completion of your course of treatment, you can call or write our billing company at:

MBR Medical Billing, Inc
1020A E. Boal Avenue
Boalsburg, PA 16827

Toll Free (877-237-8627)
Email: shess@mbri.com

How often do you bill me?

New charges are added daily to your account. We will submit these charges to your insurance company on a weekly basis. Once a month, you will receive a statement for any balance that you are responsible for.

Who will submit claims to my supplemental insurance carrier?

After your primary insurance carrier has remitted payment to our office, as a courtesy to our patients, we will file a claim to your supplemental or secondary insurance carrier. Very often, the supplemental plan will pay the patient directly. If no payment is received after sixty (60) days from date of filing, we will transfer the balance with the patient.

If we do not have a contract with your insurance carrier we will make every effort to obtain an out of network referral. If we obtain an out of network referral, the patient is responsible for any balance the insurance company does not cover.

Arrangements can usually be made to adapt to special patient circumstances.

Important Billing Information for Community CancerCare Patients

Treatment of cancer with radiation can be costly. It requires very complex equipment and the services of many health care professionals. The exact cost of your radiation therapy will depend on the type and number of treatments you need.

Community CancerCare is affiliated with Hartford Hospital, Eastern Connecticut Health Network, Hartford Radiation Oncology Associates, and Johnson Memorial Hospital. Your insurance company or you will receive claims from ALL of these providers.

If you participate in a network insurance plan, please check with your insurance company regarding participating physicians and facilities. Do not assume the facilities participate in the same plan as the physicians. It is the patient’s responsibility to determine if all providers are in or out of their network. The patient will be liable for all non covered services or co-insurance due to out of network provider.
